Here is the Canadian "field outlet" of a 1960's ID 19 F comfort "export Canada".
.
Citrowagon: Hello Mark, can you introduce yourself to Citrowagon's readers?
Mark: "Of course George, my name is Mark Krahn, I am a poultry farmer in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada, I currently have a DS Pallas from 1969 and a 2CV from 1958 as well. gave me the email address of a man who was told that he could have a 2CV AZ, that I wanted to restore, I sent him an email and I did not hear from him again for a year, then, quite surprising to me, he sent me an email, he did not mention 2CV, but he said he had a DS break that I could have for free.is a Citroën that I wanted to restore, and the owner of the land she was on wanted to delete it. . .
.

. . . This ID 19 F had been in its field for 17 years,in Summerland, British Columbia (2 hours drive from my home) but it was surprisingly easy to move and had no brake calipers blocked. . .
.

. . . The day was memorable, my friend Greg Long of Seattle having traveled more than 6 hours in his DS convertible to help the discovery, which made the event very special."
.

On the way to the house.
.

Arrival at destination my home at Armstrong.
.

Expertise of the car, The Citroen was parked in this field for 17 years .
.
Mark: "In the days that followed, when the car was dismantled in my hangar, it became clear that the chassis was excessively rotten. Of course, the floors were completely rusted, but rust continued to mount on the side posts and on all sections of the trunk. However, the upper part of the car, including the dashboard parts, the roof gutter and the many plastic parts were mostly present and in an acceptable condition. Even the numbers on the speedometer were perfect!"
.
CW: It is clear that time has done its work, a DS that "presents" very well can be completely rotten. It only remains for Mark to look for another DS break, sound of 1960. This seems an impossible mission!
.
Mark: "With a little luck, I was able to find a chassis near Palm Springs, California. "
CW: "what a little luck!"! Even in France, it is an impossible mission! That said, I have repeated several times on this site, there is a sanctuary for the bodywork of DS, the south United States (Colorado, Texas, California ...) With their desert climate, the humidity level is close to zero!
Mark : "The "California chassis" was found by my friend Paul Rampaart of Palm Springs. When we made the trip to California we also visited the fantastic Citroen display at the Mullin Museum in Los Angeles . . .
.

. . . In January 2018, I went with a friend to take the DS break, an ID 19 F "export USA". (26 hour drive from my home!!) . . .
.
. . . During the winter and spring of 2018, the cars were dismantled and many welding, sandblasting, cleaning and painting jobs were carried out. The advantage of having two cars is that there are often duplicates, which allowed me to choose the best of both. However, in many cases both parts were unusable and I had to find others. . .
.
. . . Currently, the engine, transmission, calipers and many hydraulic components are being rebuilt by Chris Middleton and Chris Dubuque * in Seattle, WA. The goal for next year is to rebuild, install and operate most mechanical components. Winter 2020, I would like to finish the body (blonde shell AC306) and the interior (in a fabric to decide ... ideas ??).
CW: Contact Dr. Danche, he may still have some fabric for you.
Mark: "After the restoration of the cars, it is planned to cross North America from one ocean to another (about 5,000 km), hoping to meet many owners and enthusiasts of Citroën.
If anyone wants to follow this car restoration, I regularly publish photos on an iCloud album. I would be happy to talk to other Citroën owners. You can send me an email at

.
Thank you Mark for this testimony, good end of restoration. Citrowagon will be happy to introduce this ID 19 F when it is finished.
* It's thanks to Chris that you discover the adventures of Citroën in Seattle right now.
